SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos III ‘the Great’, 223-187 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.24 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in northern Mesopotamia, circa 204/2-187. Diademed head of Antiochos III to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to inner left, monogram of ΠΑ; behind head of Apollo, NI. SC 1115c. Lightly tone dand with a particularly impressive portrait. The reverse struck slightly off center and with minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
